Leaking injectors on a common rail engine - 27th Aug 2016

Leaking injectors on a common rail engine Leaking injectors on a common rail engine is also a big problem.
The injectors coming lose and the combustion gases coming up past the injectors can cause big problems, in some cases extreme damage to the engine if the injectors are inside the engine the carbon blocks the oil pickup.

As you can see by the photos this is a Mercedes-Benz with injectors on the outside making a big problem this is nicknamed THE BACK DEATH. If you have a common rail engine that has done more than 100.000ks it would pay to get it checked caught early it is not such a big job.
if it looks anything like this don't worry as we have special tools to remove injectors in this state.
